Marketing yourself as an actor / voiceover

So I've been giving this subject a lot of thought lately though I haven't really come up with anything good. What are the techniques you use to market yourself as an actor / voiceover? What has been effective and what hasn't? Is it the internet site? Business cards? Post Cards?

I'd love to hear from you on your favorite marketing techniques. Let me hear from you.

Joe:

Marketing yourself as a voice actor needs to be less about the tools and more about the plan:

* What is your message (your point of difference)

* How does that difference grow/reflect into your brand (are you the The Voiceover Thespian, are you Joe Rodriguez? Can/should you be both?). Make that message consistent in everything you do in the following steps

* With that planned, what is the financial commitment you can make to your marketing efforts? Can you invest upfront or does it need to be "if/come" spending?

* With that budget, how can you spread funds across a year to have the greatest impact on your business (ROI). Are those tools trackable

* Put all that on paper, live it and you'll find by taking bites in the planning process as outlined (instead of gulps) your success will be easier to manage and your missteps less steep.

Hope that helps.

Best always,
-Peter

Peter,

Thanks for the comment. Sorry it took me so long to read it, but I do appreciate it.
